It's a pleasure to be part of a community where we can all offer and receive encouragement from one another in the common interest of art. Well, I've been a member here for just over one year now! It's amazing how it has truly become a daily ritual that helps fulfill our lives. I've been doing pottery for a number of years now and have been involved with wood firing (reg., salt & soda), raku, electric firing, natural gas firing, primitive and high temp. gas saggar firing. I usually start with an accurate design on paper. While doing the first piece from that reference, I usually have a multitude of "spin-off" ideas and it develops into a series of related items, usually a maximum of a dozen or so before I move on to another sketch.
