Stiff Upper Lip 1 by Nudessence Stiff Upper Lip 1 by Nudessence
Wood fired, soldate 60 clay. 17 cm. (6.75") across base, 20 cm. (8") tall. Wheel thrown and carved.

The technique is simple. You throw the original fully symmetrical shape. (You can see the throwing rings on the inside of the lip) When firm enough, you carve away what you don't want on the upper portion. Then you manually shape the pouring lip and add the handle. Have fun!
