It's a pleasure to be part of a community where we can all offer and receive encouragement from one another in the common interest of art.
A sincere thanks to all my regular watchers and to all the wanderers that have found something of interest in my gallery. The inspiration of a site like this one can only do us all good!

Well, I've been a member here for just over one year now!
It's amazing how it has truly become a daily ritual that helps fulfill our lives.
I've been doing pottery for a number of years now and have been involved with wood firing (reg., salt & soda), raku, electric firing, natural gas firing, primitive and high temp. gas saggar firing. I usually start with an accurate design on paper. While doing the first piece from that reference, I usually have a multitude of "spin-off" ideas and it develops into a series of related items, usually a maximum of a dozen or so before I move on to another sketch. Most of my work is sold locally, but occasionally another member from here will fall in love with one of my pieces and send me a note to see if it is still available. Sometimes it is.
My computer is in my painting/photo studio. When waiting for an area to dry while doing a watercolor, I often catch myself going back and forth between the computer and my painting. Just have to see what's new on here! I have numerous photographic references of models that I've worked with over the years and I keep most of that info. on the computer. So, when I feel like producing a painting, which is quite often, I go into my files and choose a pic. Then I do a laser print out as a hand reference and get to work. They usually take from one hour to maybe three hours, depending on degree of detail. I've only seriously returned to watercolor painting in the last year, having been away from it for 20 years. I didn't realize how much I had missed it!
It's a unique experience for me to be here and what I enjoy most is the ability to share similar interests with other artists around the world. It still blows my mind that  I can look at an endless quantity of works from practically anywhere and someone from a distant country can get into my gallery and see merit in what I do!
